About us:

Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Amrita Sai Institute of Science and Technology is dedicated to the cause of promoting entrepreneurship among students. It invites various eminent entrepreneurs to deliver lectures to educate students about the joys and hardships of entrepreneurship. Guest Lectures, Workshops, Case Study, Group Discussions are conducted throughout the year to involve students in activities that are essential to an entrepreneur. ED-Cell also actively incubates start-up ideas by linking the right investors with the right entrepreneurs.

  • ‘ENTREPRENEUR DEVELOPMENT CELL’ is designed to help a students in strengthening and fulfilling his entrepreneurial motive and in acquiring skills and capabilities necessary for playing his entrepreneurial role effectively after completion of the studies ,now a days lack of job opportunities with various reasons.

  • Entrepreneur in English is a term applied to a person who is willing to help launch a new venture or enterprise and accept full responsibility for the outcome. Jean-Baptiste Say, a French economist, is believed to have coined the word “entrepreneur” in the 19th century – he defined an entrepreneur as “one who undertakes an enterprise, especially a contractor, acting as intermediary between capital and labour”. A broader definition by Say: “The entrepreneur shifts economic resources out of lower and into higher productivity and greater yield.”
